Is JJ Abram's follow up to Cloverleaf. There was speculation that it would be a direct prequel / sequel to Cloverleaf, but it isn't. It mentions Area 51 in the trailer so I'm sold.

My system is on a go slow today - everything's taking so long that there's no point me trying to check anything out.

I wouldn't say he can do no wrong but Abram's involvement in anything has me onboard at the moment.

Did you carry on watching Lost? Just wondered what you thought of the final episode?

My sister's taped it all for me so I'm waiting to watch it.

Without giving anything away, what did you think?

It was ok, but I was a little disappointed. Let me know when you've watched it, and I can go into a bit more detail!

What did you think of the last season overall? Or is your opinion of that ultimately coloured by the last episode? I'm about 5 episodes in and enjoying it.

Do you watch Fringe too? I've got a load of the latest run of them taped too - will start watching after I've finished Lost.

We watched the Fringe pilot, but then none of the rest of the series.

What are you doing? 5 episodes in, there's about another 10 to go isn't there? Get cracking!

I don't want to give anything away - but here I go.... From about the 3rd series in, I kinda got the impression that the writers were making it up as they went along, so I went along for the ride, and hoped that they'd sort it all out, and tie up all of the loose ends. You'll have to wait and see if they did.

Part of my wanted them to just finish the series and not explain anything, a bit like "The Prisoner" and because that's what life is like, sometimes. I found the last episode emotionally satisfying, if not logically satisfying, y'feel me?

I'm really fond of Fringe - it's a bit like the X-Files only with a bigger budget but without the UFO fixation and with a body-horror/biological terrorist slant instead. Then the ongoing story/underlying arc thing is increasingly bonkers - but in a good way.

I've double-checked my maths and it's 7 episodes, and watched those over the course of a week, with a gap in the middle waiting for my sister to give me the next tape. I shouldn't really be watching it though - I should be moving house. Which is why I started watching it. I'm mostly watching whilst the W**** C** is on.

I feel ya. I think there are people who want all the answers and people who just enjoy the ride. A lot of the first type gave up by the second season; whenever it comes up a bloke I know always asks if they explained the Polar Bear - I don't give a sh*t about the Polar Bear. I just admire it for being so audacious at times - but it almost always holds my interest.

I kind of would have liked to re-watch The Prisoner when they re-ran it recently - I think I might enjoy it more than I did when they showed it back around 1991 or whenever it was.

I did watch the new version though. What a pile of sh*te. It was so busy trying to be obscure, obtuse and elusive that it forgot to give you anything to be interested in. And, bizarrely, it seemed to assume that you knew about the original series cos if you didn't it really gave you very little to go on - even though it had changed loads of elements so it bore little resemblance.

I saw a new trailer for Super 8 at the cinema. Longer and it gave me a completely different impression of what to expect from the film. It's up on the website you linked to.

The films produced by Steven Spielberg and there's quite a Spielbergian vibe to the trailer - you know, with kids. The trailer reminds me of Close Encounters, ET and Stand by Me.
