as you can see, the cs version of pagatronix is back up. lo! it has risen.

as mentioned, i migrated the users across to dnn, but this removed all of the cs users from the database, and cs doesn't like it if there are no users. once i reinserted an admin and anonymous users, at least the site came back up, but wouldn't display the home page, or forums without throwing an error. as i then discovered, cs doesn't like it if any</b> of it's users are missing.

after a few hours with sql server management studio express though, i think we're back to normal, with both versions of pagatronix up and running.

i'm deciding which one to keep at the moment. there are pros and cons to both. cs is slow and unsupported, but dnn didn't seem that much faster, and is missing stuff like easily including youtube clips, and tag clouds. i do think that the dnn setup is more in keeping, style-wise with the rest of the site.

this is all academic of course, because no fucker uses either site, but there we are. we should all move to twitter maybe.
