Isn't that Julian Barratt doing the voice-over for some financial ad on TV now? Moneysupermarket.com. Oh dear. Still, I would too if they were willing to pay me...

They may be working with Mark Ronson. Or maybe not. More here:

It also has a review of the Boosh festival. My favourite quote being:

"...80s star Gary Numan, sporting suspiciously black hair..."

I thought I heard him on a car ad last night. Perhaps he's got a sound-alike - apparently there's a bloke who sounds like Stuart Maconie doing the DFS ads.

Then again, perhaps he's just bought a house. Or perhaps the Taxman came after his Mighty Boosh millions.

Noel Fielding turned up briefly in some comedy on E4 last Thursday apparently.

It was a sketch show called Dolly & Laura - or something like that. I expect it's on YouTube now. Dunno if you can watch E4 stuff again online. Thought you could but when I tried to look for it the site just confused me. Clearly I'm not the target demographic for E4 - if I was then I'm sure I would have found there web-site enthralling and linked to it from my bebo or myface or spacebook account.

Not that I'm old or bitter or anything.

i think the next boosh sighting will be this friday on friday night with jonathan ross.

just got an email from play and there appears to be a book coming out: the mighty book of boosh.

"come with us on a journey in to the magical world of the mighty boosh...this autumn canongate invites you to join howard moon, vince noir, naboo, bollo, bob fossil, old gregg, the moon, and all your other favourite characters on a unique journey in to the world of the mighty boosh.incredibly funny, visually dynamic, surreal, musical, wildly creative...the mighty boosh is unlike anything else on british television, and this beautifully illustrated christmas humour book promises to be the same."

pre-order it here

i think (hope) play got a bit of their blurb wrong though as it says it's 256 pages with 4 colour illustrations.

That's probably right. 4 colour pictures, and they'll charge you twenty nicker for it an all. I'll try and catch them on Jonathan Ross, but I haven't watched him for ages, cos it's always the same old same old "Mr Wicky Gervais!"

On de Boosh tip, check it, respeck it: http://www.myspace.com/mattberrysmusic Some nice tunes to download.

Did you see it? The interview was fine [it'll be on the i-player for a week]: they mentioned the book and the tour and I started thinking "I do really enjoy The Boosh, and they are very funny. Perhaps I should reconsider going to see them live". Then they performed Eels live and it was godawful.

It sounds like seeing them live now might be problematic for two reasons: 1) the rabid fans; 2) the fact that they seem to want to be taken seriously as musicians.

The book does look good though - it sounds like they've put a lot of effort in.
