today beaker showed me a clip on his phone of one of his mates wielding one of these

it's the best and saddest thing in the world all at the same time. the real clincher is that they used to be over £90, but play.com has them for £35 !
needless to say, mine's in the post. why not buy one, and then pop round mine for a duel?
in the meantime, where can i hide it? if my wife finds it, it'll be super embarrassing, worse than being caught in one of her dresses and full make up, or watching dwarf porn or something. have a look at youtube for various films of idiots pretending to be in star wars. soon, i will be one of them, caught running around the lounge in the dead of night, in just my pants, trying to master vaapad.

Well for starters you should get Beaker to post the clip of his mate on Youtube and then link to it here.

Or you should get Beaker to just join in on this forum, of which he is a member. Surely he's not intimidated by our witty repartee? Then again, perhaps he has a life.

Is that what it is Beaker? Do you have a life? Do you sit there gloating at Papa & me, saying to yourself "ha ha ha, unlike those two losers, I don't have time for internet chat as I have a life"?

Do you Beaker? Is that what you do?

I'm so lonely...

Why fritter away your hard-earned dosh on a light sabre when you can blow your mortgage payments on this:

Let the kids go hungry this month - they'll thank you when they can watch DVDs on The R2-D2 Projector - complete with Millennium Falcon shaped remote control. A snip at less than £1,900.

He has a built in DVD player which plays DVDs, DVD-R/RW, Video CD, SVCD and audio CD. He also plays MP3, MP4 and WMA. He features audio out supplies DTS and Dolby 5.1. and two 2 10-watt stereo speakers.

Connect Artoo to your audio-visual systems via his S-Video, computer in, RCA sockets and optical audio out connections. Plus, there is an i-Pod dock which will work with Mini, Nano, Photo and both sizes of Video i-Pod.
The memory card slots can take images from USB, SD, MMC, MS and Smart Media feeds.

R2 can move forward, back and sideways and has safety sensors to make sure you don't drive it down a trash compactor chute, or try to project it at a wall that's too close!

R2 projects an image up to 80" wide for your wall or ceiling. Resolution is 800 x 600. Brightness is rated at 1200I ANSI lumens and the contrast ratio is 500:1. Depending on the size of picture you are after he will project from a minimum distance of just under 5 foot to over 16 foot for the largest image.

The massive Millennium Falcon remote control includes effects of its own.

Price includes free UK shipping!

£1900 and it doesn't play DIVX? It would be good if it also served you drinks whilst watching a film, you know, like on Jabba's sailbarge. Obviously it may affect your viewing enjoyment a bit if the projector pisses off to the kitchen in the middle of "Marathon Man" or whatever.

How long did I play with the lightsabre once it was delivered? About 5 minutes. It's now back in it's box. Even Bernard doesn't seem interested.

oh ho! You didn't do a very good job of hiding your purchase, unless hiding stuff normally involves skipping into the living room clutching a parcel, ripping the packaging off it whilst gleefully crying "oh boy oh boy oh boy!" and then whizzing a huge light sabre around and challenging your 11 year old son to a fight.......

It's just the best thing ever. Takin' poppin' to the next level.

We used to have awaydays where I work, where they'd have a disco in the evening. We'd all be really drunk and end up trying to do robotics and popping.

In your mind, you think you're working it like the fella up there. The sad reality is....you're a four-eyed cunt working in a bank doing bad robotics.

I concur. I always wanted to be able to do The Robot - and if they play the right song and I'm drunk enough I will start trying to bust some moves but it is probably as well that you can't see yourself as if you could you would never do it again. In fact you would probably never leave the house again.

Of course mobile phone technology has made this all far more dangerous to attempt in public, no matter how drunk you are. Last year we were on a work night out and this guy got a bit over-excited and was Larging-it-up on the dancefloor. It was quite surreal and funny to watch - especially cos he wasn't very popular and no-one had seen him do anything like it before. One of my friends caught it all on her mobile. Needless to say, the footage got shown to most people in the building over the next few weeks and we were pushing her to upload it onto Youtube but I don't think any of us had the appropriate tech at the time.
