did anyone see this the other night? it was a dramatic reconstruction of thatcher's last months in power, and was excellent.

the only thing wrong with it - or perhaps with me, was that lindsay duncan was playing thatcher. that was the main problem. whereas you've never find thatcher sexually attractive in a million years (denis and alan clark excepted,) lindsay duncan is lovely.

there was a bit in the film where she was telling nigel lawson to go and get a haircut that made me feel all funny. i think it was the most erotic thing i've seen all year.

i realise that i have gone wrong.

Sorry I had no time for it cos I have no interest in the Tory witch.

Plus they put on some prog about her the night before which meant Mad Men wasn't on till past midnight. Then on Thursday night I set the video, accidentally set up the wrong channel on the vid, sat down on Friday to watch ER and got yet another programme about Thatcher. Bah.

I vaguely get where you may be coming from re it being Lindsay Duncan who made her a bit sexy to you but honestly I would worry. Does Ken still read this? Is Ken aware how it made you feel?

Get help.

It's a pity they couldn't have had Kenny Everett play her instead - like he used to, with his full beard. That would have been genius. I might have watched it then.

Have you seen this

I was a bit annoyed about them using Clint Mansell's ace score from Moon, then my jaw dropped when I read who was playing Thatcher.

When I watched the clip again I recognized her a bit better but it was a bit of a shock.

Yeah - I was assuming it would be some English actress that I'd recognize but was completely thrown. It's cleverly constructed.
