i thought there was a thread with a load of matt berry stuff together but it seems to be scattered throughout various other threads so i've done a separate one for this.

this song was originally in garth marenghi's dark place which reminds me that i really should get the dvd of the series.

Ahhh, Dean Learner's rap.

Matt Berry is, apparently, in this in the summer:

Unfortunatel I can never get these clips to play: I have a lovely icon of a filmstrip but if I click on it nothing happens and it turns into a kind of "unrecognised format" placeholder icon thing.

yes, you're right. sorry about that. it works in chrome, but i've tried it in internet explorer, and you can't see it. i'll look into it.

as a workaround, if you right click on the clip when it's still a filmstrip icon, and select open link in new tab</b>, or open link in new window</b>, that works on mine. if that doesn't even work, try (re) installing quicktime .

huzzah. yes, that worked for me - and i did have to re-install quicktime.

moon looks very intriguing. i just have to hope that they don't do a longer trailer showing most of the film closer to the release date.

back to matt berry: i know it's been mentioned here before but i thought i might as well embed ad/bc: a rock opera

it's by matt berry and richard a-e-i-o-u-de and features them and a host of familiar faces from the boosh, dark place etc.

this probably works best if you enjoy the music and compare it to tommy and jesus christ superstar. i've grown really fond of the music in it.

I saw Moon a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it. I may have been overcompensating cos it was a welcome break from weak summer blockbusters like Wolverine (don't bother). I realise that it Moon may be flawed, like some of the critics have said, but it was refreshing to see a quiet Sci-Fi movie rather than an in-your-face effects loud-fest. There are special effects in it but it's not explosions and lasers.

I did think it was going to be more about identity and memory and was getting ready to describe it as Dickian, but then they actually clear that business up quite quickly. It has got a great atmosphere and I really enjoyed the mood of it. I think that was probably helped by the Clint Mansell (aka Clint Poppy, former frontman of Pop Will Eat Itself) soundtrack.

Not a lot of Matt Berry though - it's no "Sanch in Space". He's only on a TV-communicator thing and it's only cos of his distinctive voice that you know it's him. Although that's kind of what I expected.

I was exactly hoping for Sanch-In-Space, so they can fuck off.

It was directed by David Bowie's son. You know, Zowie.

Sanch on the radio?

Just looking through the radio listings and on Sunday 4 October Absolute Radio has Matt Berry on from 10 pm until 1 in the morning. I'm assuming this is the same person. Expect it's just a one-off visit but I'd be interested in giving it a listen.
