Was as you'd probably expect. Chris Evans refused to appear on the programme, and Moyles didn't interview anyone before Mike Reid, so no bitterfest from DLT.

He did manage a bit of a coup however, the first interview I've ever seen with Jabba the Hutt. Clicky.

Yeah, I saw too.

I'd be curious to see a full length body shot of Wrighty - it was difficult to gauge from the glimpses you saw here.

Did you watch "Blood on the Carpet" afterwards? I remember seeing it when it was first broadcast - absolutely hilarious.

Jim Carter's portentous narration made phrases like "drive a ginger wedge between them" something to be cherished.

happy to oblige:

don't get me wrong - i'm hardly thin myself - i'm not being some sort of body facist. it's just the vanity of the man. hat on to hide the lack of hair, bad dye job on what's left. odd-looking beard to imply that he has a jawline.

curiously, if you look at his picture on the radio 2 website, he looks rather different:

yep, i watched blood on the carpet. i always think trevor dann comes across quite well. nice to see the bitterness of the juste again. i also enjoyed smashie and nicey after that. "deptford dralons."

good work fella... blimey - his stomach kind of looks like a separate entity.

yes, adrian juste's input was particularly funny given that he had possibly the worst show on the network. if memory serves correctly it entailed him telling bad jokes and ruining sometimes classic comedy routines by putting audio of himself into them. i seem to remember him inserting himself into bob newhart monologues thus ruining half of the joke. what a hero.

have you noticed that many people now believe dlt's nickname actually was the hairy cornflake, rather than the hairy monster? class.

I loved his rant about having to follow Danny Baker and trying to get the audience back "up". I came across this whilst trying to find out what Juste is up to now. It's from Digital Spy, but it made me laugh as it sums up his show quite accurately:

<p style="padding-left: 30px;"]"*song*

AJ: So, I hear you've had a hard week!

*clip from comedy record*

AJ: oh, really?

*clip from comedy record*

AJ: And then what happened?

*clip from comedy record*

AJ: Cor blimey! I'm glad I wasn't there!

*song*

repeat.

Yeah, Matthew Bannister! Why'd you have to go and screw THAT up? Eh?"

Ha ha ha - I wished I'd done that instead of my poorly constructed bleatings.
