From Spike Jonze. It looks brilliant. Look at him in his little rabbit suit.

Don't you know that racism amongst future kings can only lead to no good?

yeah, i saw clip of this on film 2009. they do look lovely. i must admit i'm a little torn about this though - i only want this film to exist if it's absolutely fantastic. i'm curious how they will have padded it out to movie length.

i bought a couple of wild things action figures a few years ago - they were far better looking than you might expect (you can check the rest here). with any luck the film will be ace and there'll be lots of super merchandise to buy. perhaps you can get some max suits for your little 'uns.

The Shadow knows

i forgot to say ages ago:

saw where the wild things are.

it was very well done, and the things looked lovely but the film didn't really work for me. i wanted something magical and pure and escapist but they went and made it a bit too... bleak? serious? allegorical?

and near the end when he leaves i was practically sobbing i was so sad.

it wasn't my version of the book. but that's just me. i know a grown-up who saw it and she thought it was lovely.
